Oundle doesn’t present itself in obvious ways. It’s not loud. It doesn’t try to impress. Its strength sits in something quieter - depth, substance, and a strong sense of identity. The challenge was to capture that clearly, without diluting it.

Through a series of workshops and strategic development, we built a brand platform rooted in what makes Oundle distinct: intellectual curiosity, grounded confidence, and a very deep connection to the real world. The tone needed to feel considered and articulate, but never overworked or attention-seeking.

I led the development of a full messaging framework - creating a set of marketing anchors that could flex across audiences while maintaining a consistent voice.

This gave the school a practical way to communicate with clarity, whether in long-form prospectus copy or short-form digital.

Alongside this, we refined the visual identity to support a more modern, editorial feel - something that would translate effectively across print and digital, including high-performing campaigns.

The result is a brand that feels unmistakably Oundle: confident without noise, thoughtful without complexity, and consistent across every touchpoint.

Why an asterisk?

It's a good question. First used by the Sumerians over 5,000 years ago, to denote additional meaning or information, the Asterisk conveys an additional depth of thought or curiosity.
